1Acceptance of Terms
Your use of Firmiu constitutes full acceptance of these Terms. They apply to all users, including those who only browse the platform. Firmiu reserves the right to update these terms and will notify users of significant changes by email.
2Description of Service
Firmiu is a PDF electronic signature platform that allows users to send documents to recipients to sign digitally from any device. The service includes secure cloud storage, a complete audit trail, and automatic email notifications.
3Account Registration
To use Firmiu you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at soporte@firmiu.com.
4Acceptable Use
You may only use Firmiu for lawful and legitimate purposes. Strictly prohibited: (a) using the service for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activities; (b) sending documents with unlawful or harmful content; (c) attempting to access other users' accounts; (d) using the service to send unsolicited communications; (e) interfering with the security or operation of the service.
5Digital Signatures and Legal Validity
Signatures generated by Firmiu are electronic signatures with legal validity in Latin American countries that have enacted electronic signature legislation (including Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and others). The specific validity depends on the applicable jurisdiction and document type. Firmiu does not provide legal advice. For documents requiring notarization or other additional formalities, consult a legal professional.
6Plans and Payments
Firmiu offers a free plan with limited features and paid plans with expanded capabilities. Paid plans are billed monthly in US dollars (USD). You may cancel at any time; access to plan features remains active until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods, except as required by applicable law.
7Intellectual Property
Firmiu and all its content, design, code, trademarks, and features are the exclusive property of Firmiu and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works without express written authorization.
8Limitation of Liability
Firmiu is provided as-is without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Firmiu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including data loss, business losses, or damages arising from the use or inability to use the service.
9Termination
Firmiu may suspend or cancel your access to the service at any time if you violate these Terms, without prior notice or liability. You may cancel your own account at any time from the Settings section of your dashboard. Following cancellation, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 15 days in advance. Continued use of Firmiu after the effective date of the new terms implies acceptance.
11Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. For any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of San José, Costa Rica.

13Refunds and Cancellations
