Types of electronic signature in Bolivia
Electronic signature
Any electronic data that identifies the signer and expresses their intent. It carries evidentiary value; Firmiu's audit trail (IP, device, date and verification) reinforces attribution.
Digital signature
With a certificate issued by a certification entity authorized by the ATT. Article 78 of Law 164 grants it full legal and evidentiary validity, equivalent to a handwritten signature.
What makes a signature valid in Bolivia?
To carry full weight, the signature must uniquely identify its holder and be under their exclusive control. Firmiu documents every signature with IP, device, location and verification, reinforcing traceability.
