Types of electronic signature in Costa Rica

Electronic signature

Certified digital signature

Issued within the national system led by the DCFD under MICITT, with certificates from the Central Bank hierarchy. It equals a handwritten signature (art. 9, Law 8454) and is required for several government procedures.
