Types of electronic signature in Panama
Electronic signature
Electronic sounds, symbols or processes linked to a document with intent to sign (Law 51 of 2008). Valid for e-commerce and private contracts.
Qualified electronic signature
Backed by a certificate issued by a provider registered with the National Electronic Signature Directorate (Public Registry). It enjoys reinforced presumptions of authenticity and integrity.
