Types of electronic signature in Paraguay

Electronic signature

Electronic data identifying the signer. It is valid; if challenged, whoever invokes it must prove authorship — Firmiu's audit trail plays that role.

Qualified electronic signature

Created with a qualified certificate from a provider accredited before MITIC (Law 6822/2021). It equals a handwritten signature and enjoys presumptions of authorship and integrity.

What makes a signature valid in Paraguay?

Acts signed digitally produce the same effects as those executed on paper. Firmiu adds an audit trail — IP, device, location and verification — to every signature.
